General information

LY^® DS 101 is a new dry strength agent. As a

copolymer of acrylamide and acrylics, it is amphoteric complex.In acid and alkali circumstance, it can enhance the hydrogen bonding between the fibers, and significantly improve the dry strength of the paper.(ring crush compression resistance and bursting strength)

LY^® DS 101 also has the function of improving retention and the sizing efficiency.

APPLICATION

Usually, we recommend the dilution of LY^® DS 101 before the usage, then add it to the pulping system. Set the adding points in the place where the pulp can be sufficiently stirred, to ensure uniform added.

The dilution ratio of  LY^® DS 101 and water is 1:20-40, and can be added at the inlet to the pulp pump of mixing pool and slurry pool, and also can be added by metering pump continuously in a high tank. Relative to the dry pulp, the recommended dosage is 0.5 -2.0%, the general adding concentration is 0.5-1.0%.

LY^® DS 101 is amphoteric and has a good effect in lowering the demand of positive charge in the system and resisting interference from cationic garbage in the system, which can improve the cleaning degree of the paper making system. In the same time, it can improve the retention performance. To pay special attention on the change of retention is required during the usage of this product.

For different paper machines, the usage and adding point of dry strength  agent should be optimized in order to obtain the best strength effect. Lees’ technical service team can help you  achieving this goal.

SAFETY

LY^® DS 101 undiluted may be slightly stimulated to skin and eyes, it is

recommended to use gloves and protective glasses when use. If come into direct contact with eye or skin, immediately rinse with plenty of water at least 15 minutes. Pay attention to prevent slippery as the product leaks on the ground will be very sloppy.

STORAGE

Store at room temperature, keep in dry and cool. Pay attention to prevent frozen and sunscreen.

Recommended storage time is 6 months.
